Welcome to Smoky Mountain Skating Academy! We’re excited to welcome new participants and those returning for more fun-filled instruction and activities.

As part of your registration form, you will be required to select a program and skill level. Please use the guide below if you aren't sure which level you or your skater belong in.

Returning skaters should refer to their previous semester’s evaluation form and select the corresponding level. Skip to form

🆕 First-Time Participants

Review the four options below to find a beginner-level class type for your age group and skating goals. Select that class in the registration form.

Snowplow Sam 1

Open to young skaters ages 3-5. Skaters will focus on balance and having fun on the ice.

Basic 1

Open to beginner skaters ages 6+. Skaters will learn to skate forwards, backwards, and stop.

Adult/Teen 1

This class covers skills similar to Basic 1, but is designed for new skaters ages 13+.

Hockey 1

For beginner skaters ages 6-14 that are eager to explore the sport of hockey.

If enrolling together as a family (siblings and/or parents), please submit one registration form per skater. Upon submitting this registration form, a $15 coupon code will be sent to you via email to use on a second registration form for your immediate family member. One offer valid per family.

Participation requires an active Learn to Skate USA membership. As reflected above, first-time participants will incur a one-time membership fee of $21 when registering. Smoky Mountain Skating Academy will provide instructions for renewing your membership annually.

Smoky Mountain Skating Academy Participation Waiver - Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Participation Agreement:

In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the Smoky Mountain Skating Academy program, related events and activities of ice skating, hockey, broomball, and other ice related activities, I , the undersigned, acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that:

1. The risk of injury from the activities involved in this program is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and,

2. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown of my participation in ice skating, hockey, broomball, and other ice-rated activities, even if arising from the negligence of the releasees or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and,

I have read and agree to the above Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement.

I acknowledge that photographs or videos may be captured during class and used for marketing purposes, including on social media.

I acknowledge that all skaters must check in at the front desk before entering the ice and must wear or display required credentials (badge, wristband, or hand stamp) at all times.

I acknowledge that failure to comply with Smoky Mountain Skating Academy's procedures and guidelines may result in removal from the ice without refund.
