family skate policies & procedures

Skaters must be currently enrolled in Learn to Skate or Aspire to participate in Family Skate and each enrolled participant is is permitted 3 guests to skate with them.

Aspire skaters enrolled for a single-session drop-in class only are not eligible to participate in Family Skate.

All skaters and their guests must visit the front desk prior to entering the ice. Students are permitted 3 guests to skate with them and will receive 3 wristbands, which must be worn by all guests while on the ice.

Learn to skate students must check in at the front desk to receive their class name badge before entering the ice. This must be worn at all times during the session.

Aspire students will receive a hand stamp for ice access.

To keep the ice safe for everyone, we ask that skaters and guests adhere to the following:

• Flow of Traffic: Always skate in the direction indicated by the rink guards (typically counter-clockwise).

• Awareness: Be mindful of beginner skaters. Avoid weaving through traffic or skating at excessive speeds during family sessions.

• Center Ice: The center of the rink is generally reserved for coaches giving lessons or specific maneuvers. Use the perimeter of the ice for skating.

• Safety Gear: While not mandatory for guests, we strongly recommend helmets for new or young skaters.

• On-Ice Safety: Please keep food and drinks off the ice and refrain from using electronics.

Students are responsible for the conduct of their guests. Please ensure your friends and family are aware of the rink rules so we can maintain a fun environment for all.
